The Seminoles (3-4, 2-3 ACC) and Orange (3-4, 0-3 ACC) both enter the game desperate for a victory. The Seminoles have lost two in a row. The Orange are still looking for their first victory of the season over a Power 5 opponent and for their first win in conference action.

Saturday’s meeting is the 13th all-time contest between Syracuse and Florida State. The Seminoles hold the series advantage with a 10-2 record in the 12 prior pairings, including a 5-0 mark at Doak Campbell Stadium. Syracuse’s two wins bookend the series. The Orange won the initial meeting between the two programs in 1966. Last season, Syracuse snapped what was a 10-game losing streak to the Seminoles with a 30-7 win in the Dome. In Syracuse’s most recent trip to Tallahassee, FSU eeked out a 27-24 victory in 2017.

FSU has won three straight games at Doak S. Campbell Stadium. Doak opened in 1950 and FSU is now 301-96- 4 all-time in the stadium. Florida State is 92-19 against Atlantic Coast Conference teams in Doak Campbell Stadium since joining the league in 1992.
